cheduling various power tasks on your computer is important because it will help you to better organize your time and save the power your system consumes. Power Kit is a simple application that will help you automate different power tasks.
These power tasks include shutting down, restarting computer, signing out and making the computer sleep or hibernate. Once you have scheduled an appropriate task, you will not need to worry even if you leave your computer unattended.
You will find it easy to use the free application, right from its installation. The installer, which is just 828 KB, will display to you the disks on which you can install the application, including their respective sizes and available spaces.
When you launch Power Kit, it will display a small and simple graphical user interface that is divided in the middle into two sections. On the left pane, you can set either the duration you want to pass before performing a specified power task, in minutes, or the exact time you would like the application to execute the task.
You will set the task you want to perform by selecting it from the drop-down list on the right pane. The start and abort buttons are also on this side of the application window. On the lower side of the window is a check box you can use to let the application run on Windows start-up. The application displays a relevant notification just above the check box whether you have scheduled any task or not.
Power Kit requires administrator rights and Microsoft .NET Framework to function properly.
